In the Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, the Forest Department faced a tough challenge while trying to start a plantation near their animal husbandry site. Despite putting a lot of effort into watering the land, they couldn't get the plants to grow properly because the soil kept drying out. This happened because there were rocky layers underneath, which made it difficult for the soil to hold onto water.
The soil on the plot had rocky layers around 10 meters deep, making it hard for water to stay put. This meant that no matter how much water they used, it just drained away too quickly, leaving the soil parched and unsuitable for plants.
To address this challenge, the Forest Department procured a Soil Moisture Device from ADK Instruments. This advanced device provided real-time monitoring of soil moisture levels, offering valuable insights into the soil's hydration status. Additionally, the department installed a Gateway Bluetooth device, powered by solar energy, to facilitate seamless data transmission from the soil moisture device to cloud platforms. This enabled remote access to critical data, empowering informed decision-making.
Thanks to the Soil Moisture and Temperature Logger paired with the Gateway Bluetooth device, our customer saw a big improvement in their planting efforts. With the ability to monitor moisture levels in real-time, they could automate watering more accurately, ensuring their plants always had the right amount of water to grow healthy and strong. By using these smart technologies to tackle their soil problems, our customer managed to solve the issue of water draining away too quickly. This helped them grow crops successfully and increase their farm's productivity.
