To have a particle meter calibrated, essentially determines the relation with which the meter and its units are accurate, to put it simply. When you are using a particle meter, it is done as a safety measure to ensure you are meeting industrial safety standards. Getting your particle meter calibrated can imply getting an external examination done and/ or ensuring regular maintenance of the meter to get the most accurate measurement when the meter is in use. According to international standards, there needs to be counting efficiency, size resolution, false count, sampling time error, etc. There are many tests that need it to clear to be calibrated.
