Heat Stress Meter TWL-1S
Scarlet TWL-1S is designed to measure WBGT and thermal work limit (TWL) heat index. The TWL measures air temperature, humidity, radiant heat and wind speed to come up with instructions for work, rest and hydration plan. We integrate the algorithm of TWL and work-rest schedule based on the latest guideline. The user-friendly interface even showed different colors to ensure users in line with TWL schedule. For example, red means unsafe for work, yellow means buffer zone and green means safe for work.
Compact Design
TWL-1S is designed for all kinds of worksites including mining and construction. All devices have been tested in rigid environment settings.
Smart Device
Our product is based on the scientific research and algorithm, which gives user built-in risk level flags and instruction for work, rest and hydration.
Quickstart Datalogger
Free software allows users to download data on TWL and WBGT; air temperature, humidity, wind speed, globe and wet bulb temperature.
World Class Standards
We ensure every devices with calibration providing accurate and reliable readings. The 3rd Party Certification is available upon request.
Smart User-Friendly Interface
Meters were supposed to sense the targets and give readings. Scarlet intends to do more. TWL theory determines the threshold for safe, fair, and dangerous working environment. Colorful LCD backlight tells you the risk level based on the TWL value. Work-rest schedule and fluid intake are integrated into the display. A countdown timer shows the time remaining before a recommended rest.
Automatic Warning (TWL-1SR Model)
The working timer starts counting according to TWL value. When it expired, the device will notify the pager carriers remotely. It reminds you to take actions. 433 MHz technology is used to offer better penetration ability and 200 meter coverage in an open area is achieved. Please note that pager is available in TWL-1SR model.
Sensor Protection
Delicate temperature and humidity sensor are well protected by a replaceable polypropylene (PP) filter in a solid shield, exempted the sensors from dust damage and external strike. A silicone pad protects the mechanism of anemometer from dust.
Sensor Protection
TWL-1S can record data with configurable sampling rate from 10 minutes to 3 hours. PC side software automatically convert data into CSV format and helps download the data for further analysis using other analytical tools, and it also synchronizes the date and time of the device with PC.
Optimized Globe
TWL theory considers mean radiant temperature (MRT), the most important parameter on human energy balance. The smaller the surface area of the black bulb, the greater the effect of the air temperature and velocity is, thus causing inaccuracy. The 7.5 cm globe bulb is the optimal size based on our research.
All-Direction Wind Cup
Cup anemometer captures winds from any direction. You do not have to manually decide the wind direction before measuring the wind speed. Compared to the impeller, wind cup is not restricted to the direction of the wind. It considers all the horizontal components of winds that move the anemometer.
Measurements:
• Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT)
• Thermal Work Limit (TWL)
• Globe Temperature
• Dry Bulb Temperature
• Relative Humidity
• Wet Bulb Temperature
• Wind Speed

The heat stress meter from ADK Instruments is a smart and user-friendly device. It works on TWL and the work-rest schedule algorithm. The work is as follows-
The device shows red, which means unsafe for work, yellow stands for a buffer zone, and green means safe for work. Thus, you can easily monitor the results using Scarlet TWL-1S. Besides, you can go through our user manual for in-depth detail on the device's working.
ADK Instruments offer the best quality heat stress meter. It is an amazing tool that measures humidity, air temperature, radiant heat, and wind speed. Also, it monitors the environmental parameters that help to calculate the WBGT index. The user can download data on TWL and WBGT. And our device provides accurate and reliable readings.
So, the heat stress meter device is used to measure the following-
The heat stress meter should have the following key features:
Heat stress meters can detect the temperature with the amount of moisture content. And this device is mainly used in the work areas. Also, you must choose the right device to get an accurate result. So, ADK Instruments offer the best heat stress device that yields reliable outcome. Our heat stress device is called Scarlet TWL-1S. And it is specially designed to measure WBGT and TWL heat index.
Also, it has a user-friendly interface and fantastic features like a quick start data logger, calibration, etc. Hence, you can contact us for details on our product and get the best pricing quotes.
The heat stress meter measures the combination of temperature, humidity, and air movement to determine the level of heat stress. Workplaces such as foundries, construction sites, and agriculture commonly use this tool.
Heat stress meters monitor heat levels and alert employers or workers to determine dangerous levels. Heat stress can cause dehydration, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke, which can be life-threatening.
Employers can ensure their workers' safety and well-being by using a heat stress meter. For example, they may modify work schedules to avoid the hottest parts of the day. Additionally, to prevent dehydration, they provide shade to extreme areas.
Heat stress meters can also help with compliance with workplace safety regulations. To control heat exposure, employers may have to conduct regular heat stress assessments.
Using a heat stress meter is an essential tool in industries where workers are exposed to extreme heat. Its purpose is to measure the level of heat stress, and alert employers and workers to dangerous heart conditions.
Heat stress is typically measured using a heat stress meter, also known as a heat stress monitor or heat index meter. This device measures the combination of temperature, humidity, and air movement, which together determine the level of heat stress.
The most commonly used method to measure heat stress is by calculating the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT). To calculate the WBGT, the heat stress meter uses three sensors. Dry bulb thermometer for air temperature, wet bulb thermometer for humidity, and globe thermometer for radiant heat. These readings are then combined using a mathematical formula to determine the WBGT.
Here are some common steps to measure heat stress with a heat stress meter:
There is no exact answer of the question. It depends on many factors, such as features, accuracy, brand, etc. Generally, a basic heat stress meter can range from ₹50,000 to ₹95,000.
It's important to note that the price of a heat stress meter should not be the only consideration when choosing a model. Other factors to consider include the accuracy of the readings, ease of use, durability, and compatibility. It's also recommended to purchase heat stress meters from reputable suppliers or manufacturers. We are offering the best quality heat stress meter in India at the fairest price.
